News Roundup

 Just like that it's time for our second news roundup! It's been a bit of a drier week this time around, but there were a couple of events of note. 

Firstly, Billie Eilish brought out Boygenius as surprise guests at her London show and they sang 'When The Party's Over'. On the surface this seems quite unexpected as they don't generally run in similar circles, but Billie and Phoebe go way back to Billie's early teens when (as she said when she recorded her Apple Music Radio shows) she saw Phoebe perform at a venue in LA. She then went on to play 'Motion Sickness' on her radio show. Having seen recordings online of this gig (I’m so jealous I wasn’t there) the four voices work so well together, and I could absolutely get behind a Boygenius x Billie Eilish collab. If you’re interested to hear it, search for the recordings online, you won’t be disappointed! 

The second big happening in music this week was Reading and Leeds festival. The lineup for this year included Declan McKenna, Billie Eilish, Sam Fender and The Killers. By all accounts of the people I know who attended, the festival was brilliant and they have already announced the 2024 lineup so if you’re interested check online!
